UK Trade Mark Registration

Trademark registration is the way to secure exclusive rights to your name or logo (or to the two combined).

The price to register an EU trade mark for your name or logo is outlined below.  To register your name and logo in a single combined appplication, the logo option would be the one to buy.  You should also buy a pre-filing trade mark search to check that the mark is available to register.

Whether you need a UK or EU trade mark depends on where you will be trading.  If your business is conducted within the EU, and not just in a single country, then an EU trade mark registration is the best option for you.

An EU trade mark protects you in all 27 EU countries including the UK.

As trade marks take some 5-9 months to be granted in the EU, if a lot will ride on the availability of your chosen mark, register your brand name well before you do anything else to start up your business.

What Next?

To buy an EU trademark get a trademark quote.  This will include a search and official fees.  Then proceed to the eStore to print out the quote or to buy.

 * Note, the Official Fees will be included in the eStore.  They are £900 Euros for an EU application in up to 3 classes, and 150 Euros for each extra class beyond three.  (The eStore will include the sterling equivalent of these amounts).
